Terms of Use & Community Agreement

We are so glad you are here to advance your career with Regan Career Institute. We built this platform to make your continuing education seamless and straightforward. By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or learning on our site, you agree to these simple rules of the road.


1. Your License & State Requirements (CDPH LFS, ASCP, & AMT)

  • Checking Your Renewal Rules: We work closely with veteran clinical lab scientists and nurse educators to build fully accredited courses aligned with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Laboratory Field Services (LFS), the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), and American Medical Technologists (AMT). However, state and national rules change frequently. It is ultimately your responsibility to double-check that a specific course fits the exact requirements for your individual license type (like a CPT I, MLT, or CLS) before enrolling.

  • The Annual Renewal Cycle: Please keep in mind that CDPH LFS operates on an annual renewal cycle. RCI cannot be held responsible for any state-issued application late fees, processing delays, or licensing lapses due to a misunderstanding of your personal state renewal timeline.

  • Submitting Your Hours: Once you complete a course, your certificate is instantly generated in your student dashboard. RCI does not automatically upload your certificates to the California PERL system or individual boards—you will just need to download the file from your dashboard and submit it directly to your state portal during your renewal window.

2. Keeping Your Account Secure

To keep our accreditations valid and protect your professional credentials, we require a few standard security steps:

  • Please ensure the name on your student account exactly matches the legal name on your professional medical or laboratory license.

  • Your account belongs to you alone. Sharing your login info, or letting someone else review materials and take quizzes under your name, is strictly prohibited. Doing so will

    • 3. Our Refund Policy

    Because our system provides instant digital access to lesson tracking and downloadable certificates, we have a clear policy to prevent abuse:

    • The 14-Day Window: We gladly offer a full refund within 14 days of your purchase.
      Course Progress: To qualify for a refund, the course tracking must show that you have explored less than 20% of the content, and have not yet attempted any quizzes or final assessments.
    • Instant Certificates: To protect the integrity of our credentials, no refunds can be given once a course is completed or a Certificate of Completion has been generated for your dashboard.

    4. Course Access Limits

    • A Full Year of Access: When you purchase a course, you get full access to the material, student dashboard tracking, and any curriculum updates for exactly 12 months from your enrollment date.

    • Expiration: If a shift gets too busy and a course expires before you finish it, don't worry—your historical data stays safe, but you will need to re-enroll to open up the active lessons and take your final assessments.

    5. Learning "As-Is"

    We do everything in our power to keep our learning modules perfectly up to date with the latest laboratory protocols and healthcare guidelines. However, medicine moves fast! Our materials are provided for continuing education purposes on an "as-is" basis, and RCI is not legally liable for the hands-on clinical application of this knowledge during your shifts or any brief technical hiccups you experience on the website.
